Skip George Rogers Park this Summer. Construction. No Parking.

Construction is going on along the Willamette River all summer.
Construction is going on along the Willamette River all summer.

George Rogers Park was already overcrowded with not enough parking in the summer. Now there are construction vehicles and work being done along the river to create a new pathway from GRP to Roehr Park. You might want to go there. It's a hidden gem along the river with plenty of parking nearby.

Roehr Park in Lake Oswego has a dock and plenty of parking. See photos here:

Don't believe the social media posts - those are not from the summer or any hot day

Try Roehr Park or go to West Linn boat launch at Cedar Landing

This is the lower parking lot at George Rogers in July - emergency vehicles have to get in there along with all the cars trying to park and no place to turn around

George Rogers Park was created as a neighborhood Park. There are only 121 parking spaces and most are up the hill near the baseball fields. The tiny "beach" is actually tiny and with the construction going on down there locals wonder if there is actually any sand because it looks like the construction of the path has moved dirt to the riverfront area. What a muddy mess.
