Email sent to Antonio Garcia, Parks Deputy Director and Jeff Munro, Director Parks & Rec on April 27, 2026
Anthony and Bruce,
Representing our Old Town Neighborhood Board, we'd like to make another request to please resurface the tennis courts at GRP so they can be safely used by all people.
The courts are now in worse condition than the photos taken and shared with you on Sept 18, 2026.
They were powerwashed neighbors who live on Ladd report in February before the rain deluge and need to be cleaned again after the "pollen dump" - they are golden.
Please respond when the cleaning and repair/resurfacing work will be done. Hopefully before summer! Will there be kids camps using the tennis courts as there have been in the past?

FAST REPLY from Antonio received today
"Good morning Derrith,
Thank you for reaching out with this request. We are waiting to hear back from the contract on their availability for cleaning, crack filling and color matching. We will move forward with these repairs as soon as possible. In relation to the pollen, we will be pressure washing this week.
Currently our department has no camps scheduled on the George Rogers tennis courts.
Regards,
Antonio Garcia
