Ready to Try Rowing? Join Learn to Row Classes on the Willamette River at Lake Oswego Community Rowing Club

Out walking along the river pathway yesterday with friends we saw the announcement that the Lake Oswego Community Rowing Club is hosting a free learn to row day on Saturday June 6. See the flyer below.

Their website says, "Summer is the perfect time to try out rowing! Join us on National Learn-to-Row day for a fun, FREE demo of rowing fundamentals and a beautiful day on the Willamette.
When: Saturday, June 6, 2026, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: LOCR Boathouse (350 Oswego Pointe Dr)
Who: Anyone 12+ (must bring parent/guardian if under 18)
Signup slots and start times are staggered. You can expect your rowing lesson to take 1.5 to 2 hours. Make sure to wear clothes you can exercise in and bring water and sunscreen! Sign up here: https://lorowing.com/national-ltr-day
This is a great deal! Their website lists cost for regular classes as $300 for a month of twice a week, small-class instruction both on and off the water.
