Wilsonville, Oregon has had an ordinance about people sleeping in vehicles since May 2023

During an Old Town neighborhood walk on Saturday with City Council Candidate Bryan Guiney, we shared our concerns and experiences with people sleeping in their vehicles in our neighborhood and our interest in getting that ordinance in changed in LO so people could not Park and sleep in any vehicle right next to our homes (but not in George Rogers Park) for 72 hours before the Police could issue a citation, Bryan told us that Wilsonville had an ordinance to address that.

Wilsonville City Council approved this new ordinance in February 2023 and it was in effect in July 2023.

What a clever solution:

• Sure people can sleep in their vehicles if they need to. And they'll need to do that in the Wilsonville City Hall parking lot which is near the police department.
