The Bond to build a new fire station on South Shore passed!
Measure 3-635 May 19, 2026 Election
48% turnout, measure passed 69% to 31%
THANK YOU Old Town for endorsing this bond and all you did to get people out to vote and to vote yes!

There was a dedicated team of volunteers who led the task force to get the Bond passed led by Chris Durkee and Carrie Love. With great support from so many people in LO including Jeff Gudman, Mary Kay Larson, and Karen Sampson. It was FUN to be part of this amazing team! And to get to know some of our amazing fire fighters who are all paramedics too. Great support from Mayor Buck and the LO City Council.

Dear Lake Oswego Voters,
Thank you, Thank you!! Your support for bond measure 3-635 to replace the old South Shore Fire Station was overwhelming – with every indication that it’s a “land slide” victory!
Your votes are an unmistakable display of support for the Fire Department and the self-sacrificing firefighter/paramedics who put their lives on the line to keep us, our families, and our homes safe.
Throughout the campaign we heard numerous stories of loved ones saved from cardiac arrest, children’s breathing restored, and homes saved. And, even when survival was not to be, praise for the first responders’ compassion, tenderness, and competence was expressed.
Lake Oswego is blessed with an extraordinary team of first responders who, thanks to you, will soon have a safe and healthy “work-home” at the new South Shore Fire Station.
Thank you, voters, for upholding our firefighters and for doing what we can to return, in small part, the protection they provide for us every day.
Chris Durkee, Carrie Love, Jeff Gudman
Co-Directors, Lake Oswego Fire Station Rebuild Committee
