Old Town Neighborhood Annual Meeting October 7th

Neighbors, you're invited! And please invite your neighbors to come too.

The leaders from PrepLO Kassie Clark and Chris Rushing, along with Battalion Chief Scott Vachter from the LO Fire Department will be our guest speakers.

Battalion Chief Scott Vachter is a long-time member of the Lake Oswego Fire Department (LOFD) who has served as a Battalion Chief and Training Chief for the city. He'll be joined by the firefighters from Engine 214. Thanks to Kris Artman from LOFire for setting this up for us.

They will discuss emergency response during disasters like:

  • being stranded in your home without power for weeks because of an ice storm

  • having to evacuate because of flooding or wild fires

  • how to prepare and respond when a Big Earthquake happens

The key, they say, is "community resilience" and knowing and helping neighbors “Four From Your Door”.

PrepLO will also have a table of items that help in an emergency that neighbors can peruse during the dessert social after their presentation.

Please plan to join us on Wednesday, October 7th from 6-8pm

At Lakewood Center, lower room

Beginning right at 6pm, we'll hear from our emergency Preparedness experts. After their presentation, the OTNA Board will share neighborhood and City-wide priorities to get your input about. We'll also hold our OTNA Board Elections. And then we'll break out the desserts for everyone to enjoy while mixing and mingling together.
