No Parking Signs Requested on Both Sides of Furnace Between Ladd and Wilbur for Safety

The OTNA Board Vice President Jim Perris and his wife Barbara sent the City Fire Department, City Manager and Traffic Engineer a letter outlining their concerns about a fire truck being able to get through Furnace Street between Ladd and Wilbur when cars are parked on either side of the road, cars are driving both ways. The entire OTNA Board agrees with this urgent request to add no parking signs on both sides of Furnace Street between Ladd and Wilbur to ensure fire and emergency vehicles can get through. This change would also improve traffic flow and pedestrian and cyclist safety and potentially prevent a tragedy.
