My husband and I were invited to a LO Chamber of Commerce "open house" event at the new Coffee House & Wine Bar in downtown LO last week. We met owner Courtney Spears who is a long-time friend of our friends Peter and Gail Barram.

We thought it was a clever concept to have a coffee house and wine bar and thought, "My those will be long hours for the owners." Courtney agreed and yet is excited to see this new business grow. She said they are figuring out when it will be busy and when slow. They had plenty of cheerful, helpful staff members when we were there.

I love supporting LOCAL people opening a LOCAL business. And it's a new place we can walk to from our Old Town Lake Oswego neighborhood.

Courtney said they make their own pastries and bread for sandwiches at lunch and offer charcuterie boards in the afternoon and evenings with wine.

They opened in early 2026 with a "living room" environment.
