Downton Abbey at Lake Theater!

I always enjoy walking by to see what is on the billboard...

From our Old Town neighborhood we can walk so many wonderful places including Lake Theater and Cafe! Their food and lake view dining are wonderful.

Starting on Thursday, Downton Abbey is playing at Lake Theater.

Or walk up and get tickets the day of the show. You will see us there on Friday with neighbors and friends. No, we're not planning to dress up but we are planning to stream the first movie before seeing this one.

Grateful for this wonderful local movie theater and restaurant.

I learned some things on their their website:

"HISTORY – Lake Theater & Cafe began its life as a single-screen neighborhood cinema back in 1940. It has weathered its storms over the decades: in the 80s, the roof caving in was solved by splitting the venue into 2 auditoriums; in 1996, Lake Oswego flooded over and the business changed hands to its current owner; and in 2014, it received a total facelift, a kitchen, and a patio.

Much of our produce is grown and harvested on Happy Apple Farm in Oregon City, and every other ingredient on the menu is as local and sustainable as can be, from scratch when possible. Our business is certified a leader in sustainability by the county and we take the environment, and our future, seriously.

But we don’t take ourselves too seriously, and neither should you. Come by, relax with a movie, a meal, with a drink, with friends, with us."

My favorite pizza they serve (the one with mushrooms and gruyere cheese) they told me they only serve in non-peak season because it takes longer to make. So, I guess I'll have to wait for the later fall for that. Lots of other great salad and other options on their menu

The view is pretty spectacular! And you can bring your (well behaved) dog out on the deck. I think Lake Cafe is a local gem that we all want to support so they continue to thrive in showing great movies with great food and service.
